Ticketing Platforms- Any Suggestions?

Hello NACO Forum,

I’m facing an issue with Eventbrite and was wondering if other councils have encountered something similar. We need a ticketing platform for charity fundraising events but require the ability to remove VAT which the free version of Eventbrite isn’t allowing.

I’ve explored a few alternatives, but most rely on third-party payment processors like Stripe or PayPal, which isn’t the route we want to take. Additionally, it needs to be GDPR compliant.

If anyone has advice or recommendations—whether it’s a way to remove VAT from Eventbrite events, other platform suggestions, or even a solid case for using Stripe—I’d greatly appreciate it. This is our first event where we need a more professional system, and every option I’ve tried so far has a significant drawback or is too complex to use.

we were coming up with the same issue.
our solution was to use the same platform as ordering bins etc and our IT managed to create a system integrated with the councils own finance /budget.
we bought a couple of sum up machines and we were off.
