Just wondering who else does sporting victory parades and what level do you support it with regards to planning the event ie submitting road closures applications; paying for the team to close the roads etc.
Also how do you get round the road closure applications -do you apply for the road closure 3 months in advance just to be on the safe side?

On the rare occasions our football teams are promoted or win something, it’s our events team that leads with the infrastructure work. We are responsible for the invitations, catering and room booking.
The road closure’s are handled by our dedicated traffic management team and if it’s a late call for the parade (winning a playoff or cup final), it would be on their radar to expect a request as part of the planning process.
